Dr. Bassam moved with his family to Edmonton, where he studied for his qualification certificate which he earned in 2016 which makes him qualified to be a licensed veterinarian in Alberta.
Dr. Bassam volunteered in many organizations, such as the Alberta Spay Neuter Task Force, VetEmerg, Edmonton Humane Society, and the Delaney Veterinary Hospital. started practicing in the Edmonton area in 2015 in a mono Vet clinic before he moved to a very busy multiple Vet clinic in 2017 then he joined our team in Chappelle Veterinary clinic. His main area of interest is in small animal surgery, dermatology and dentistry.
The part he loves most about his job is seeing a pet’s health turnaround after treatment. Even more, seeing a client’s reaction when their beloved pet’s health turns around. Dr. Bassam lives with his wife, two lovely daughters, and a sweet little Shih Tzu named Mila. In his leisure time, he loves reading and writing articles for his blog. During the summer, if he is not actively preparing and planning for Edmonton’s Heritage Festival, which he has been an active member and volunteer in since 2012, he can be seen enjoying some gardening.
