Bassam Abdelmalek
Dr. Bassam Abdelmalek earned his Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) in 1998. After completing his studies, he served as a military veterinarian for one year before transitioning into a prominent role in the pharmaceutical industry. In 2006, he founded his own mixed animal clinic. Upon moving to Edmonton with his family, Dr. Bassam pursued his North American veterinary certification, which he successfully earned in 2016, allowing him to practice as a licensed veterinarian in North America.
Dr. Sherif Boctor
Dr. Boctor enjoys practicing medicine, and finds the most satisfaction in performing surgical dental procedures.
In his leisure time he enjoys playing squash and basketball with his friends and family, and spending time with his 2 cats – Roo and Logi.
Roo and Logi had come to spend “just the weekend” with Dr. Boctor while they were waiting to get adopted; but the girls decided that they had found their forever home with the Boctor family and never left.
Dr. Boctor’s goal is simple: “treat my patients as if they are my own.’
Dr. Pim
Dr. Pim earned her DVM in Thailand and completed her Ph.D. and postdoctoral training in Japan and the United States.
In 2011, Dr. Pim relocated to Edmonton and shifted her focus to small animal clinical practice. She has worked at several veterinary clinics throughout Edmonton and St. Albert before joining Chappelle.
Dr. Pim has a special interest in dentistry and feline medicine. She lives in Edmonton with her husband, their son, two cats (Jazz and Disco), and their dog, Luna. In her free time, she enjoys watching Thai series, trying new recipes, and traveling.

Deidre George
Deidre began her career in veterinary medicine in June 2002 as a full-time receptionist after graduating from university. Since then, she has developed extensive experience working in both small animal practices and emergency clinics.
Her passion for animals started early in life and has remained a driving force throughout her career. Deidre finds great fulfillment in working in the pet care industry and takes pride in educating pet owners and supporting them in their pets’ health and well-being. Before joining Chappelle Veterinary Clinic, Deidre worked at Truro Veterinary Hospital in Nova Scotia. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her two dogs, Buddy and Wynter, and exploring the Edmonton area with her husband, Blehr.
