Dr. Sherif Boctor

Dr. Boctor obtained his veterinary degree in 1996. He and his family moved to Canada in 2003; and he started practicing small animal medicine in 2004.
Dr. Boctor enjoys practicing medicine, and finds the most satisfaction in performing surgical dental procedures.
In his leisure time he enjoys playing squash and basketball with his friends and family, and spending time with his 2 cats – Roo and Logi.
Roo and Logi had come to spend “just the weekend” with Dr. Boctor while they were waiting to get adopted; but the girls decided that they had found their forever home with the Boctor family and never left.
Dr. Boctor’s goal is simple: “treat my patients as if they are my own.’

Lana

Lana graduated from the Animal Health Technology Program at Fairview College in 1996.  She grew up on a farm and had a purebred herd of Gelbvieh Cattle until 2003 when her parents sold the farm and dispersed their herd.  She started in a mixed animal practice after graduation but soon decided that it was not what she wanted to specialize in.

Lana then moved into Edmonton in 1997 and has been working in companion animal medicine since.  She has also been working part time at an Emergency Clinic since January 2010.  She works there on weekends and weekday’s at Chappelle.  The experience at the emergency clinic has enhanced her skills as a Technologist and has exposed her to many different conditions that we may not see in Regular Practice.

Lana has an older cat named Squeak and a young dog named Isla, who is a Labradoodle that has a lot of energy.  She has travelled to many different countries and would like to continue to see more.

She graduated from the Animal Behavior College in 2016 and obtained her VMA diploma along with certificates in pet massage, animal nutrition, and cat management and training.
